An IX style Cavalry pistol with iron fittings. Brass pan flintlock lock, with punch to be identified. Round barrel, with thunderbolt flanks, punch to be identified on left side. Muzzle diameter 18 mm. No visible marking on the breech. Marks to be identified on mouthpiece, lock plate and trigger guard. Walnut stock, marked MEA ??? on the plate near the lock plate. Total length approx. 35.2 cm. Functional mechanism, wear, cleaning, patina.
