Rare one-piece bronze flintlock marine pistol with early 19t - Lot 29
Rare one-piece bronze flintlock marine pistol with early 19th century spring-loaded ejectable bayonet system, released by pressure on the trigger guard. Round barrel with muzzle bead, side bridges with ramrod holders, round metal ramrod. Case engraved and signed on both sides CARTILLON. Wooden stock handle with arabesque metal wire inserts. Functional mechanism. Total length bayonet folded 26.4 cm, bayonet ejected 35.3 cm. Corrosion on iron parts, wear and tear, patina. Scarce Navy bronze flintlock with spring bayonet by Cartillon circa 1800.
