French percussion pistol circa 1840. Flush-faced barrels, slightly blunderbussed at the muzzle, with ribbons, smooth, muzzle diameter approx. 14.5 mm. Flat percussion lock, flat-bodied hammer, restored. Iron fittings. Walnut frame with checkered stock, rounded oval iron cap. Total length 32.5 cm. Wooden ramrod with brass tip and handle, and iron bullet puller. Functional mechanism. Wear and patina.
