Flintlock travel pistol from the mid-18th century, fluted ba - Lot 96
Flintlock travel pistol from the mid-18th century, fluted barrel with remains of engraving and gilding, then round, with sighting band. Flintlock lock signed Pierre Peyret, gunner in St Etienne circa 1750. The hammer has been restored. Iron fittings on carved walnut frame with birdhead stock. Total length approx. 17.3 cm. Wooden ramrod with bone handle. Non-functioning mechanism. Corrosion, wear and patina.
