Pair of bronze percussion cap pistols, so-called Marine pist - Lot 120
Pair of bronze percussion cap pistols, so-called Marine pistols, second half of the 19th century. Bronze frame and barrel, round barrel with terminal bead. Inside diameter at muzzle approx. 16 mm. On each pistol, JR hallmark under crown on the right and Liègeois ELG hallmark on the left. Rod holders under the barrel. Metal ramrod with brass handle. Finely carved and squared stock, split near the trunk on one of the pistols. Mechanism to be revised on both. Total length approx. 25.5 cm. Wear and tear, patina.
