CHINA, Ming period, 17th century Large, important sculpture in partially gilded bronze Depicting a dignitary standing on a quadrangular base, hands clasped, holding a "Hu" command tablet. He is dressed in a long robe with floral borders. His face looks serene, with almond-shaped eyes, arched eyebrows and a long, smooth beard. The head is topped with a characteristic hat. Height: 90 cm (One element missing from the headdress and one side of the dress; scratched forehead, worn patina).
