CHINA, early 20th century Elegant carved wooden coat stand featuring an openwork band with sinuous geometric motifs, supported by a sober, balanced structure. The whole is topped by a stylized cloud carved element, evoking the traditional forms of Chinese furniture. Height: 173 cm Width : 177 cm Depth : 55 cm (Some wear, patina and missing lower right side) Provenance : Private collection in Nice from a family who lived in China during the second half of the 20th century.
