Fonds LOUBET - Italy / A token of esteem offered to President Loubet by the notables, merchants and industrialists of the Italian town of Spezia in April 1904, probably on the occasion of the twinning with the town of Montélimar, of which Loubet was Mayor, Presented in the form of a diploma of honor, luxuriously preserved in a full burgundy morocco binding embossed on 2 corners of the cover with the silver coats of arms of the 2 towns and in the center with the silver figure of the President, the inside covers are stretched with silk edged with gold roulette, the 3 inner leaves are calligraphied and illuminated and bear the numerous signatures of Spezia's leading figures. Dimensions: 40 x 52 cm.
